The Situation: Under new leadership Slade's Ferry Bank wanted to re-energize a dormant brand in numerous areas covering: marketing, collateral, product development, research and beyond.
The Solution: Black Diamond Marketing Group led the bank through a complete metamorphosis in all areas. The process started with positioning research, leading to a comprehensive re-design of the bank's product set and introduction of competitive electronic banking services. To get the word out an integrated marketing communications plan was developed with the appropriate merchandising systems/collateral/advertising and internet promotions. Complementing the more traditional marketing activities, a comprehensive community sponsorship and public relations outreach effort was also developed. And to better understand their customer profile, Black Diamond brought in its analytics partner to complete a thorough study of the bank's distribution plan including areas of opportunity & a profitability analysis of their customer base.
The Results: Over three years the bank grew just shy of 40% with the bank president being named one of the top 25 most powerful women in U.S. banking by a leading trade publication for the past two years.
